The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro users have found themselves in a conundrum as several users have started spotting small bumps and ripples inside the display glass. This formation inside the glass indicates a possibility that something inside the device is pressing against the glass.
Notice anything weird under the display of your Pixel 8 or 8 Pro? You are not alone
The affected users have taken it to Reddit and Google forums. Thankfully, a lot of users have also reported that they managed to get a replacement phone from Google. Users have also claimed that these bumps don't really hinder the performance of the screens of the devices, and they are only visible if you are looking at them in specific lighting conditions, so that is another thing that you must keep in mind.

As you can see in the image above, you have to look really, really close at the screen of the Pixel 8 or 8 Pro to spot the bumps or ripples. Still, if you do feel like this is something that does bother you, you can always go ahead and get the device exchanged. Below, you can see a couple more examples of this issue.

It is worth noticing that despite offering a replacement for both Pixel 8 devices, Google has not officially commented on what might be causing the issue. I am hoping that this is not a hardware flaw that requires the device to be opened because then it could be a problem. However, once the company does release a statement, we will let you know about it.
Until then, if you are not comfortable with owning a Pixel 8 that looks physically altered, then you can just return the device and hope that this issue does not appear again because if it has something to do with the construction of the device, then it most likely is going to reappear.
