Razer Phone 2 Alleged Specifications Leaked via Geekbench, Which Shows 8GB RAM as Well-August 2024
Aug 31, 2025 2:28 PM

During Razer’sH1 earnings, it was revealed that the Razer Phone 2 was going to be unveiled later this year, along with some new Blade notebooks. Now, an alleged benchmark of the gaming smartphone has shown up on Geekbench, revealing that it could sport the same amount of RAM as its predecessor.

Razer Phone 2 Alleged Benchmarking Scores Reveal It Will Feature None Other Than theSnapdragon 845 SoC Alongside 8GB RAM

The benchmarking scores of the supposed Razer Phone 2 were posted just yesterday and from the look of things, the smartphone is able to obtain 2,026 points in the single-core tests and 8,234 points in the multi-core test run. These scores align with what can be achieved by the Snapdragon 845, and to be honest, Razer would have no one else to go to when it comes to incorporating a high-end SoC.

The peripherals manufacturer does not have its dedicated chipset design team so it will have to stick with Qualcomm for the foreseeable future. Perhaps next year, when we get to see the Razer Phone 3, it could be armed with a Snapdragon 865 and provide support for 5G connectivity. Coming back to the Geekbench scores, we have mixed feelings about seeing 8GB of RAM on this device because its predecessor came with the same amount of RAM.

We completely understand that having 8GB of RAM in a smartphone like this is considered overkill, regardless if it is going to be targeted to gamers or not. Keep in mind that ASUS wanted to incorporate 10GB of RAM in its ROG Phone but it ran out of spacein the end. What we should expect the Razer Phone 2 to come with is a slightly bigger battery capacity than the Razer Phone so that the company can list down at least one selling point.

Our belief is that the upcoming Razer Phone 2 might not feature slimmer bezels so that the top and bottom parts of the flagship can be allotted to high-performance speakers. The 3.5mm headphone jack is not making a return and perhaps a small request from the company would be to materialize Project Linda. After all, transforming the smartphone into a workable trackpad after it is inserted into the dedicated space of a notebook can open up a world of possibilities.

What do you think of the Razer Phone 2 so far? Tell us your thoughts down in the comments.
