However, the one thing with most foldable phones that prevents most people from choosing them is the price, but that could change as the South Korean tech giant releases a more affordable foldable next year.

Samsung wants to make foldable phones more accessible for everyone

Based on a new report citing supply chain sources, Samsung plans to launch a foldable phone that caters to the mid-range segment, which could happen next year. This is not the first time we have heard this, as in the past, we did hear about how there could be a Fan Edition foldable device.

Sadly, not much information is available, but Samsung releasing an affordable foldable phone makes much more sense than some might think. For instance, the Galaxy Z Flip starts at $999, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 starts at $1,799. There is a gap somewhere in the middle, but a mid-range phone probably means that there is going to be a foldable device that will cost less than $999, which is great for those who are willing to take a foldable device for a test drive.

However, a mid-range foldable device does raise some questions. For starters, are there going to be any corners cut regarding the device's durability, since that is what most people look at when considering buying a foldable? Or will Samsung keep the durability good and make some compromises towards the specs? The second one should be the case because an affordable foldable phone that is not durable is not going to do anyone any good.
