Well folks, the day's finally upon us. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 8 and the device is all that we expected. Before we get to the nitty gritty, you should be glad that the Note 8 is with us. Samsung messed up big with the Note 7 last year, when it failed to perform adequate quality control on the device's batteries. Soon after the device was declared a public and aviation safety hazard, some pretty strange rumors started to surface. A lot of folks, on the spur of the moment, claimed that Samsung will discontinue the entire lineup. But as it's clear now, that wasn't the case. So without further ado, we introduce to you the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung Launches The Galaxy Note 8 With Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM, 12MP Dual Cameras And More

A lot has changed on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 when compared to its predecessor. And a lot has remained the same. The device follows the same form factor as its predecessor, in terms of overall build. The Galaxy Note 8 is manufactured out of the same materials but we get a big display upgrade, as expected. Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 and S8+ with fantastic displays, and now the company's following suit for the Galaxy Note 8 as well.

Galaxy Note 8 Display

The smartphone features a 6.2-inch Infinity Display, which is edge-to-edge. The resolution is QHD+ (2960x1440 pixels) with HDR Premium support. Who needs a widescreen TV when you've got a Galaxy Note 8, right? If only Samsung could now manufacture expandable displays as well. The Note 8's display also supports always on and screen off memos.

Galaxy Note 8 Camera(s)

The big reveal however, is the phablet's dual-camera setup. Samsung had yet to produce a device with the feature, and the Note 8 looks to satisfy adequately in that department. Both the sensors carry a 12MP resolution, with f/1.7 aperture width for the regular and f/2.5 aperture width for the telephoto lens. Following its teasers, and the rumor mill, the phablet also features Live Focus. The feature allows you to tinker around with background blur when taking a photograph. It's more or less like Apple's Portrait Mode from the iPhone 7 Plus but more... innovative.

Galaxy Note 8 Internals

Finally, the part we've all waited for. No folks, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 did not launch featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836. The upgraded version of the processor seems to be reserved solely for Google at the moment. The Note 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 835, alongside 6GB RAM. International variants will ship with the Exynos 8895, as expected. Battery capacity stands at 3,300mAh and there's a headphone jack in the mix as well. No courage found at Seoul either. Finally, wireless charging has made it on board as well.

The full set of technical specifications of the Galaxy Note 8 are as follows.
