A few hours after we reported about an analyst predicting that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would cost more, one rumor from a ‘not so reliable’ individual claims that even the smaller 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro will be more expensive for potential buyers, but by how much? Let us find out.
Expect to pay $100 more for the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max
Apparently, customers will have to pay $100 for both the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to LeaksApplePro, who does not have the greatest reliability records on Twitter and is often called out by others regarding Apple products and future plans. The ‘tipster’ states that the smaller member of the ‘Pro’ family will start from $1,099, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max will set you back by $1,199, making it quite a pricey upgrade path this time.
Also, if these are the prices in the U.S., then consumers in the U.K., EU, and others are expected to pay more to experience those exclusive upgrades, but why would the iPhone 15 Pro get a price hike when it has fewer features than its bigger brother? To remind you, the iPhone 15 Pro is still getting a slightly bigger battery, along with being one of the first devices to ship with a 3nm SoC, the A17 Bionic, plus a few extras such as newer build materials.

However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have more to offer, as it will be the only flagship in the entire lineup to feature a periscope zoom lens, taking that magnification level from 3x to 6x, along with the biggest 6.7-inch OLED panel in the series. The larger size also means it will have a bigger 4,852mAh battery compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s 3,650mAh cell, leading to increased daily endurance.
It is also rumored that Apple is phasing out the 128GB storage models in favor of 256GB flavors as standard ones, so that can be one reason why the price hike is being introduced. Looking at all these factors, not to mention changing economic landscapes, one can hardly blame Apple for increasing those prices, but will it set the new ones, according to LeaksApplePro’s tweet? It looks like we have to wait and find out.
