Sony's back with a vengeance folks. The Japanese manufacturer made a rather shameful exit from the flagship smartphone market a while back. It's Xperia lineup was removed by carriers, which meant a complete death for the brand in consumer history. Not to be deterred, the company took a couple of steps back, regained its composure and launched the Xperia XZ Premium.

And what a device it has launched. The Xperia XZ Premium is a complete package. It boasts the Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, a 19MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera. But the device's most impressive feature is its display. It packs a 4K display, the first of its kind to make it on a flagship smartphone intended for US based consumers. The device follows the Xperia lineup's customary design approach. It takes a disciXperia XZ Premium plined approach towards overall form, with its sharp corners and flat look. A god feature on the device are its remarkably thin side bezels. As 201 unfolds, this is a feature which will become the norm on flagship smartphones. The rear of the device features a neat assortment of sensors. Rather than stick to the customary approach of the camera sensor at the center, Sony moves it to the top left of the device's back.

This lends a minimalist approach to the device, something we will agree with. The only poor thing about its design is the top front. Sony's made the bezels a bit too thick for our liking. These contrast with the side bezels for the phone, which are kept at a bare minimum. Overall, it lends an out of balance look to the front of the device.
