The Asus ROG Phone 8 is Coming Soon as Asus Starts Teasing-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 1:19 PM

No matter what your opinion on gaming phones is, there is no way to deny that these phones are ridiculously powerful in terms of specs, to the point that you ask yourself if you need them or not. The Asus ROG Phone series is one of them, and now the company has teased the ROG Phone 8, which the company claims is coming soon. Remember, it's just a teaser, and there are so many things that we still don't know.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 could be released as early as next month

Now, the ROG Phone 8 is going to be available in a number of variants. Asus did not confirm this, but given the company's history with gaming phones, we have seen multiple variants of the same device, each offering something more or something less. We can also expect it to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, loads of RAM, and loads of storage, as these have become hallmarks of an ROG phone.

Considering how this is a gaming phone, and you will not be getting enough frames per second without some RGB lighting, you can expect the ROG Phone 8 to also have some tastefully done ROG lights, which will look excellent on the phone. You can also expect some external attachments for cooling, and I am sure there are going to be shoulder trigger buttons included, as well.

All signs point towards Asus releasing an armed-to-teeth gaming phone, and I cannot wait to see how good it turns out. My only concern is the camera system on the phone--gaming phones are not really known for having the best-in-class cameras, so that is one thing that I really want the ROG Phone 8 to offer, and it might as well be the perfect smartphone for those who love to game and those who love to take pictures.

Asus ROG Phone 8 could see a release date pretty soon. Asus normally does not follow a proper release schedule, but I have a feeling that we will get to see the device sometime in January, and of course, in the coming weeks, you can expect a lot more information about the phone.
