Well folks, now we can finally bid farewell to the 2017 flagship smartphone cycle. It's been a good year for flagships. Manufacturers have brought a lot of new features on board, which differentiate this year's devices massively from the past. These Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Camera Samples Give a Good Taste of What to Expect from the Smartphones

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are interesting to say the least. Google built its brand last year around camera, when the original pair's camera boasted an impressive DxO score. Now, Mountain View's taken the same approach and left mainstream thought out of consideration. The Pixel and Pixel XL weren't great camera phones because of their hardware. Rather, it was Google's software expertise which showed full form.

With the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, we're looking at a similar approach. The devices are the first of their kind (allegedly) to feature Image Stabilization for video. The pair also use software at its finest and combine numerous different photographs together to squeeze the widest possible dynamic range from these sensors. So, how well do they perform? Taking a look at the images above, the Pixels show impressive detail. Even the tiniest details for the calligraphy and leaf are captured. The photos are allegedly 'untouched' so initial results look very, very promising. Color reproduction is also at its finest, with all shades of green differentiated adequately. Balance, both white and overall, looks fantastic in the image of the house.

If the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL really do perform as promised in these images, then we've got a winner on our hands. Google also claims an insanely high DxOmark score for the pair.
