The Galaxy S24 Will Not Use The Exynos 2400 Due To Many Problems In The Chipset Design, Claims Renowned Tipster-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 7:44 PM

Yesterday I heard this crazy rumor that made me worry a little about Samsung's Galaxy S24 that will be releasing next year. Considering how I skipped the Galaxy S23 Ultra in hopes of something even more innovative, this rumor did scare me. The rumor suggested that the Galaxy S24 will use Exynos 2400 instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While this might seem like a pretty small thing, we are well aware of Samsung's history with Exynos chipsets. That is perhaps one of the reasons so many people refrain from upgrading to Samsung phones if the preferred chipset is not available in their region.

Exynos 2400 won't be featured in the Galaxy S24 due to several design problems in the chipset

Now, we have word from a renowned tipster that the possibility of Samsung using the Exynos 2400 in Galaxy S24 is zero. This is a moment for everyone to rejoice, considering how we have seen some terrible performance reviews from past Exynos chipsets.

I think the possibility of adopting Exynos 2400 in Galaxy S24 series is 0.

The tipster has mentioned that the 4nm fabrication process is not the only issue with Exynos chipsets, as there are some other flaws in the design, too. I am not saying that Exynos chips are not good enough. If Samsung manages to play its cards right, we might have a win at our hands, but the situation has been different for some time. Therefore, we cannot say just how well the Exynos 2400 will be if it ever debuts. But considering Ice Universe's track record, I am more than confident that Samsung will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy S24.

And if that is not enough reason, it is worth noting that Samsung and Qualcomm are in agreement, wherein the South Korean tech firm will use Qualcomm's chipsets in its flagship processors. So, there is enough evidence that suggests Exynos 2400 is not going to be featured in the Galaxy S24. However, it is important to point out that just because Samsung won't use the Exynos chipset does not mean someone else might not. In case you have forgotten, Google's Tensor chipsets are based on Exynos chipsets, with this year's Tensor G3 rumored to be a modified Exynos 2300. Who knows, Google might do the same with next year's Tensor G4.

Whatever the case is, it is too early to say anything concrete about the Galaxy S24, considering how the phone still has at least seven months before it is officially unveiled. We will keep you posted as we uncover more details about what Samsung has in stores for us. Till then, stay tuned.
