Samsung's coming Galaxy Z Flip 5 is said to be one of the best devices to come out later this year. Recently leaked benchmarks have also shown that the device is going to be a powerhouse, beating the likes of Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the one thing that I am waiting for the most is the alleged larger cover display on the phone.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5's cover display is decent-sized, but will it be usable?

Ever since its inception, the cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip phones has been smaller. Oppo decided to do something different with the Find N2 Flip when it launched with a 3.26-inch cover display. Ever since then, we have been hearing rumors about the display on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and even saw a mock-up of how it might look.

Today, we have our first concrete evidence regarding the size of the display on the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and honestly, it might disappoint you.

The information is coming straight from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), and information from Young has normally been correct in the past, so there is no reason to deny or doubt this information. This might sound disappointing to some, but if the Galaxy Z Flip 5 does have a 3.8-inch cover display, it would only make it 16% larger than the cover display found on the Oppo Find N2 Flip, which measures 3.26 inches. However, the mock-up we have seen recently shows that the cover display on the new Flip 5 will cover the entire top half of the device, making it look more symmetrical.

Whatever the case, the one thing that I am most excited about is how Samsung implements the cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Considering how it will be a proper ratio, I want to see whether or not the display on the back can be used the way a user would want to. Not to forget, the new foldable devices will also bring a waterdrop hinge, making these phones durable and giving them the ability to fold completely flat.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are said to go official between August and September. The latest rumor suggests that we might be getting a Galaxy Z Tab as well--Samsung's first foldable tablet but so far, we have not heard anything about the device other than a rumor that surfaced two years ago.
