The Nothing Phone 2 Could Cost Significantly More Than Its Predecessor But Still Pose As A Great Value for Money
The Nothing Phone 2 Could Cost Significantly More Than Its Predecessor But Still Pose As A Great Value for Money-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 3:16 AM

The Nothing Phone 2 is going to be launching next month, and so far, we have heard some pretty exciting details about Nothing's next outing. The fact that this year, the company has decided to go for an older flagship chipset is an excellent way of telling the world that they do care about what most Android users are looking for. However, the latest tip that we have received might ring some worry for those who are looking for a new phone.

The Nothing Phone 2 looks like an excellent device as long as the price is right

You see, the Nothing Phone 2 is slated to launch with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, the flagship processor from last year, and while that is an excellent chipset even by modern standards, the latest tip sheds light on the price and it is not looking pretty.

Based on information from a French news outlet, the Nothing Phone 2 will start at €729 (~$802), and if you are looking for the 512GB variant, then you are going to have to spend a hefty €849 (~$934). Now, this price would have been okay, but the phone is coming with last year's chipset, and not to forget, you can buy a cheaper Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-sporting phone, as well.

Now, I would advise you to take this with a grain of salt because there is a high chance that the Nothing Phone 2 is not going to cost this much. The company has been focusing on delivering a phone that is accessible, and there is no way that a non-flagship phone will command a flagship price. Renowned tipster Yogesh Brar also pitched and talked about how the phone should be under €700 for the base variant, which makes a lot more sense.

That Nothing Phone 2 leaked render needs to be updated with a center punch hole and galaxy S22 like narrow bezels...

Also pricing will be under €700, and not that absurd leaked figure

Honestly, under €700 makes a lot of sense for the phone because anything above 750 could spell trouble for the company because, at that price point, you see a lot of newer options, and people would not want to pay that much for a phone that is essentially from 2022, and even though the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is an excellent chipset, people would want to get the latest chipset for that price.

Nothing Phone 2 is going to launch on July 11th, and we will be keeping you updated with all the information that we come across in the days. Meanwhile, let us know what you think about Nothing's upcoming flagship for this year.
