Shortly after the Eurasian Economic Commissiondatabase included five new iPad models, looks like that very same database has been updated with two additional models. This can signal the arrival of cheaper tablets with a freshly designed chassis, and it could succeed the affordable iPad 6. So far, the cheapest offering on Apple’s website goes for $329, but it’s available for as low as $249 via online retailers. Perhaps the frequent price cuts and offers mean that a slightly more expensive iPad version might be on the verge of launching soon.

The two new tablets that have been spotted in the database of the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) have the model number A2200 and A2232 and they are runningApple’s new iPadOS. The listing doesn’t betray any other information but one of these could be the rumored upcoming 10.2-inch iPad which will replace the existing 9.7-inch entry-levelslate.

Two iPad models registered with the EEC

An earlier rumor had suggested that the new iPad model will enter mass productionin July. The cheaper 9.7-inch model made a debut in March 2017 and it was refreshed in March 2018with Apple’s A10 Fusion SoC. It is not known whether the new model will be a fall or summer launch, but we’ll keep you in the loop

Other than that, Apple could also release two new iPad Promodels, which will likely be underpinned by the A13X Bionic silicon. Earlier this year, Apple unveiled the new iPad Air and the iPad mini 5 so far, so it’s safe to assume that the iPad Pro is the next in line to get refreshed. Just like last year, Apple might introduce new iPad Pro models in October. The Cupertino giant might not necessarily hold a dedicated event for the new tablets and instead release them quietly.

For now, all eyes are on the upcoming iPhones, which are rumored to feature a square hump to house as many as three rear cameras and offer reverse wireless charging. Other than that, Apple is also expected to release a 16-inchMacBook Prothis year.
