The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are widely available the world over at this point in time. So we took the opportunity to pick up an iPhone 8 Plus for ourselves in Silver to unbox for our dear readers. We will showcase a quick view of the box itself and a run-down of what you get inside the retail packaging.

Inside the box, everything is pretty much the same as last year, except that you get a more colorful quick start guide. Other than that, you get the 5W power adapter and a Lightning cable. There are Lightning EarPods along with a 3.5mm converter too. Things are topped off with the inclusion of the usual Apple stickers. But of course, the most brand new thing inside the packaging is the iPhone 8 Plus itself.

No USB-C Accessories.

It would have been great if the smartphone came bundled with a USB-C power adapter along with the USB-C Lightning cable. I know this notion has turned into a cliche lately, but given Apple's heavy push into the world of USB-C, the inclusion of these accessories seemed like a no-brainer.

Quick Impressions.

The iPhone 8 Plus feels noticeably heavier than the iPhone 7 Plus thanks to its glass back construction instead of aluminum. But of course, the sides of the smartphone are made of the aforementioned metal and it blends seamlessly into the body, giving the iPhone 8 Plus a continuous design flow.

On the performance end, the A11 Bionic chip is crazy fast. Compared to the iPhone 7 Plus even, the iPhone 8 Plus makes everything seem like a walk in the park. But it remains to be seen how this performance sticks around as more and more software updates arrive over the coming months. But thankfully, if past experiences are anything to go by, flagships from Apple usually hold up well during the test of time.
