Vivo APEX Spotted in the Wild – Two Images Where the Truly Bezel-Less Flagship Is Compared Against the iPhone X
Vivo APEX Spotted in the Wild – Two Images Where the Truly Bezel-Less Flagship Is Compared Against the iPhone X-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 3:00 AM

Two images of a new smartphone with extremely thin bezels have surfaced on the internet. The phone bears resemblance to Vivo’s concept smartphone, the APEX, which was showcased at this year’s MWC. It will release later this yearbut an exact release date has not been provided. The smartphone in the pictures does not have any bezels above the display or on the sides. There are bezels on the frames and the chinbut they are really thinso it is definitely not the Xiaomi Mi 8.

Leaked Smartphone Images Could Also Be the Upcoming Lenovo Z5 and Not Necessarily the Vivo APEX

The two pictures were shared on Chinese social networking website Weibo. The individual claims that it is indeed a Vivo-branded device. Just to clear things up, theVivo APEX sports a has a 98percent screen-to-body ratio and the smartphone seen in the photos fits the descriptionperfectly.

The phone itself sports a 5.99-inch display and when it is placed next to the iPhone X to provide a comparison of the sizes, the former seems a bit bigger. It is possible that this could be a larger iteration of the APEX.

We’re also wondering that it could be the Lenovo Z5, which has been reported to feature a rear dual-camerawith AI features. The screen size of the Z5 has not been mentioned, but it has been teased that the device will have a 95percent screen-to-body ratioand 4TB of overall storage. Most new smartphones have really thin bezels, but it seems as if Vivo and Lenovo are going to take things to the next stage of the bezel-less smartphone revolution.

While we know that the APEX will have a Snapdragon 845 and an 18:9 aspect ratio, that is about all we know from the hardware specifications. It will have an OLED screen, which is why it is able to house an in-screen fingerprint readerthat covers the bottom half of the smartphone.

Whatever this new handset appears to be, we’ll keep you in the loop.
