VideoLAN’s VLC Media Player is a well-known media player on the desktop which can virtually play and file format there is and that too with ease. The VLC player first arrived on the iOS in the form Applidium’s VLC Media Player for iPad and now it has arrived on the iPhone and iPod touch too.

The new player is available for download and can play a variety of video file formats which do include DivX and XviD.
