According to prominent industry analyst Mark Gurman, Apple plans to launch the M3 version of the MacBook Air models in March of 2024. The report highlights that Apple is working on two versions of the MacBook Air, which will receive the M3 treatment. The 13-inch and 15-inch variants of the MacBook Air feature a relatively new design. This means the company will stick to the same form factor for the next few years. However, the company will upgrade the machines with the latest internals for faster performance.

The company's new M3 chip is based on TSMC's 3nm fabrication. With the latest technology inbound, the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air will deliver faster computational and graphical performance. The chips are more powerful than the M1 and M2 chips, powering the previous versions of the MacBook Air. However, upgrading from the M1 MacBook Air would make more sense as users will get a machine with a new design and a significant performance boost.

Apple has discontinued the 13-inch MacBook Pro and replaced it with a new 14-inch model that looks identical to the higher-end MacBook Pro models.
