With Microsoft's Bug Bash for Windows 10 Redstone 4 going on, there are a lot of interesting bits and pieces coming to the front. Previously, we learned that the company might name its next Windows 10 version as Windows 10 Spring Creators Update. Since the development for Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is almost done - at least when major features and improvements are concerned - Insiders are now getting excited about what's next.

Windows 10 Redstone 5 release coming sooner than expected

It appears that the Windows 10 Redstone 5 Insider Preview builds are going to come soon, ahead of the public release of Redstone 4. During a webcast, Microsoft said yesterday (via neowin) that Windows 10 Redstone 5 builds are coming "sooner than you think." This was followed by a tweet by BuildFeed that suggested that the company has already compiledthe first build for Redstone 5.

Following the strategy that Microsoft had employed with the release of early Redstone 4 builds, these builds will also only be offered to Insiders who had opted for the Skip Ahead branch, that moves to the next versions before everyone else. When Microsoft was putting finishing touches on Redstone 3, it had introduced Skip Ahead for the curious cats of the Insider community who couldn't deal with fixing bugs and needed new features to play with.

The Skip Ahead enrollment was only open for a couple of weeks, and won't be opened anytime soon, which means if you aren't already in Skip Ahead, you probably won't be able to test the early Windows 10 Redstone 5 Preview builds that are released ahead of the public launch of Redstone 4.
