Xiaomi Mi Max was the company’s attempt to roll out a decently spec’d out phone with a massive battery capacity and screen size. It also came with a smaller price tag, suggesting that it was a great buy. However, the latest specification leak shows that the handset could also come in the 2GB RAM version, and will be a much cheaper version as well.
Phone Specification Image Shows That Xiaomi Mi Max Could Also Come In The 2GB RAM Version – Features Just 16GB Of Internal Storage
If you look at the image below, you can see that the alleged hardware specifications of Xiaomi Mi Max are shown to be a 2GB RAM version that features 16GB of on-board storage. While the available storage for the user is only 8.22GB, the added benefit of using the massive smartphone is that it offers an expandable storage slot till a capacity of 256GB.
Now here is something that we really have to give Xiaomi credit for. Jumping onto different specifications, Xiaomi Mi Max might just measure 7.5mm in thickness, but even that thickness is able to accommodate a massive 4,850mAh battery. Currently, there are three different models that you can choose to purchase and all of their details have been provided below:
Snapdragon 650 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storageSnapdragon 652 with 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storageSnapdragon 650 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage
All chipsets are manufactured on the 28nm architecture, and while they might not be as efficient or powerful as a 14nm FinFET SoC, their firepower thanks to the availability of Cortex-A72 cores are well known. Apart from this, there is also a fingerprint and infrared sensor present, a 16MP PDAF (phase detection autofocus) rear camera, and a 5MP shooter with a very wide angle lens of 85 degrees, which is great.
In short, you are getting the next best thing there is to a cellular tablet, and right now, if you wanted to purchase a product that is an amalgamation of a slate and a smartphone, then what smartphone to purchase than a Xiaomi Mi Max.
If a 2GB RAM variant is going to be released, we reckon that it is going to feature an even more affordable price tag compared to the base model, but a refined software update will be required if users are not going to run into issues with the 2GB RAM version.
