Luca Tudesco Releases Yalu iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Source Code - But Remember, it's Incomplete
A while back, Luca Tudesco, the keenfigureresponsible for the iOS 10.x jailbreak, announced that he would be adding support for an iOS 10.2 jailbreak in the near future. He also revealed that the jailbreak would be compatible with 64-bit devices only. After a minor wait, Luca has fulfilled his promised and the Yalu iOS 10.2 jailbreak source code is now available to download on GitHub.
Before you go excited about the source code, there are a few things which should be cleared up immediately. First and foremost: just like the previous jailbreak which Luca released, this is meant for developers only. This means, it is highly unstable and could cause problems during day to day usage. Secondly, even if you aren't a developer, you can't just go ahead and use the jailbreak like the previous version.
It's completely up to the community, or Luca himself, along with Marco Grassi, to compile the code in a working solution and release it to the public for everyone to utilize. In its current form, one can't go ahead and jailbreak their device like it's a walk in the park.
Also keep in mind one thing: iOS 10.2.1 has been released and iOS 10.3 is currently in beta. This in turn also entails whether or not developing an iOS 10.2 jailbreak is feasible anymore. But still, we will keep our hopes high when it comes to a jailbreak.
If you are currently on iOS 10.2.1 and have been awaiting a jailbreak, then we suggest making the move right now and downgrade to iOS 10.2. Apple is currently signing the firmware and there's no telling for how long it will continue to do so. So make sure you do not miss this golden opportunity at all. If, on the other hand, you do not care about the jailbreak, then sit snuggly on iOS 10.2.1. After all, it does come with various bug fixes, performance enhancements and security patches.
