Z77 Ivy Bridge Possibly Launching Today
Z77 Ivy Bridge Possibly Launching Today-August 2024
Aug 11, 2025 4:02 PM

It’s been months the new upcoming Z77 chipset boards have been going through testing and are ready now for full time production at their respective plants.

According to Fudzilla’s sources, they say that if Intel had produced enough CPU’s by now, the launch of the boards would also take place simply within a few weeks time. Besides the boards having native Ivy Bridge CPUs support, these would come with native USB 3.0 support that has been missing for quite a while in Intel platforms.

If we look at the 6-series boards such as the Z68, they had achieved USB 3.0 support via third party controllers rather than having an on-the-chipset design.

Besides that there are also rumors of Intel working on a chipset that is designed for the business sector with mainly its design focused on security.
