Samsung Is Seemingly Working On Two Galaxy Tab S9 FE Tablets, Taking The Total Number Of Tablets To 5 For This Year-February 2024

We all know that Samsung will be releasing three Galaxy Tab S9 tablets later this year. You will get the vanilla version, the plus version, and the ultra version. But what if I tell you that the company plans to release two more devices in the series? Well, based on a recent Geekbench discovery, Samsung is actually working on two Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablets. Currently, there is no proper explanation as to why the company is going that route.

Both Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablets spotted on Geekbench have an Exynos 1380 chipset, with the amount of RAM being the only difference

The first Galaxy Tab S9 FE comes with the SM-X516B model number that showed up on Geekbench. Shortly after that, another tablet sporting the model number SM-X616B also showed up on the platform, indicating that Samsung is working on two tablets.

The main difference between these Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablets is the RAM, as one brings 8 gigs of RAM, and the other brings 6 gigs of RAM. These tablets, of course, will complement the more expensive and higher-end main series of the Galaxy Tab S9 that will release later this year. But I am still wondering why Samsung would go that route, and honestly, I am hoping these are just other Galaxy tablets because there is no point in having five devices in a single series.

Aside from the RAM, both the Galaxy Tab S9 FE are using Exynos 1380, the same chipset found in Samsung's mid-range Galaxy A54, and because FE devices are usually cheaper, this makes sense. However, this also makes one believe this could be a Galaxy A tablet.

Now, it is not surprising that a Galaxy Tab S9 FE exists. Samsung has worked on the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. However, there was never a Galaxy Tab S8 FE. This leads me to believe that one of these tablets could be the Galaxy Tab S8 FE, but then again, if that really is the case, then why are both tablets the same in terms of specs?

Sadly, we will have to wait for a couple of weeks or months to hear more about Samsung's plans to release these tablets. The Galaxy Unpacked is going to take place between August and September, and in the coming weeks, we are more than likely to hear a lot about the new device. We will keep you posted as we hear more. Let us know which device you are looking forward to.
