Latest Tip Suggests That All Galaxy S24 Variants Will Have A Titanium Frames
Latest Tip Suggests That All Galaxy S24 Variants Will Have A Titanium Frames-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 5:43 PM

Now that we know that the Galaxy S24 series is coming out in January next year, a lot of details have started coming forward. Simply put, it seems like Samsung has taken Apple a bit too seriously and has decided to make things a little different for the upcoming devices and honestly, I am glad that this decision is being taken.

Samsung's decision to use titanium in all Galaxy S24 variants could be the push that the smartphone industry needs

According to a recent tip, it appears that Samsung is going for titanium in all three Galaxy S24 variants. This is definitely a step up compared to Apple, as they have decided to use titanium only in the pro models. However, until the news is actually confirmed, we would suggest that you take it with a grain of salt.

The Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra all have titanium frames.

As far as the source is concerned, I do trust it thanks to the past history. However, one thing that you should keep in mind is that Samsung could end up changing its mind about this decision. There is a possibility that we might not see titanium on the base and Plus variants. Another thing that the source pointed out is that the Galaxy S24 Plus and Ultra are the only two variants that will use PVD coating, whereas the standard version will not have it. This definitely is not something I am in favor of, but then again, I'm not really in favor of PVD coating either, as it does not hold up well.

Unfortunately, the S24 standard model does not feature PVD coating, and PVD coating is only applied to the Plus and Ultra models. https://t.co/nTbj2nE3hJ

Honestly, from a business and competitive point of view, I am glad that Samsung has decided to take this step. Titanium is more expensive than aluminum and harder to work with, which means that we can expect the new Galaxy S24 devices to cost more than their predecessors, but I am sure that this change will not be massive in terms of price. I also expect that Samsung will do a really good bonding between aluminum and titanium, and the new phones will not face any issues that are currently awry in the new iPhone 15 Pro series.

Still, the news almost sounds too good to be true, but if Samsung does manage to pull this off, we should start seeing more and more phones at various price points coming out in the market with titanium as an obvious material choice, and if this does happen, then I would be really happy with this decision.
